At the heart of Paul Ross’s music lies a simple intention: to connect. Performing as Paul Ross and under his harder alias XP/XPERiMENTAL, he moves between trance, melodic techno, techno and progressive, building sets designed around emotion, energy and presence. These performances are not just about sound — they are about creating a feeling, a moment, and a shared experience on the dancefloor.
From dusty festival grounds to intimate club nights, Paul has played to crowds across Queensland, with standout appearances at Rabbits Eat Lettuce (Themed Stage), Lost in Sound, Sol Vibrations and Spring Campout, alongside regular sets with the Distorted Imag3 collective on the Sunshine Coast. Whether delivering a melodic journey or a harder late-night techno set, each performance is an invitation to let go, move freely and be fully present in the music.
A major recent milestone in Paul’s journey was the release of his album Out of Nowhere through EML Recordings, celebrated with a dedicated launch event on the Sunshine Coast. He has continued to build momentum with a string of releases including the double A-side “Breaking Out (Remix)” and “Nowhere”, alongside newer tracks “Take Me Higher” and “I’m Underground.” In particular, “I’m Underground” reached No. 3 in Beatport’s Psy-Trance New Releases chart, marking another exciting step forward in Paul’s growth as an artist and producer.
His music and mixes have also reached audiences internationally through guest appearances and radio support from outlets including Ibiza Stardust Radio, Club Ready Radio, Sweet Frequencies Radio, Kane FM, and Centreforce 88.3, where his tracks have recently been played to UK listeners. With each release, Paul continues to expand his reach while staying true to the emotional depth and dancefloor energy that define his sound.

New Double A Side Now on Pre-Order via Beatport
I’m excited to announce that my new Double A Side, Take Me Higher / I’m Underground, is now available for pre-order on Beatport.
This release brings together two tracks with different moods but a shared purpose — to connect on the dancefloor and deliver real energy.
Take Me Higher is built around uplifting emotion, driving momentum and that hands-in-the-air feeling. It’s a track designed to lift the room and create a sense of movement and release.
I’m Underground takes things a little deeper and darker, with a strong groove and a more underground edge. It has already been getting a great reaction when I’ve played it live at gigs, so I’m really pleased to now make it available as part of this release.
