Paul Ross (AKA XP / XPERiMENTAL)
At the heart of Paul Ross’s music lies a simple intention: to connect. Performing under the alias XP/XPERiMENTAL, Paul blends melodic techno and trance into powerful dance floor experiences rooted in emotion, energy, and presence. His sets aren’t just about sound — they’re about feeling.
From dusty festival grounds to intimate club nights, XP has played to crowds across Queensland, including standout performances at Rabbits Eat Lettuce (Themed Stage), Lost in Sound, Sol Vibrations, and Spring Campout, as well as regular appearances with the Distorted Imag3 collective on the Sunshine Coast. Each set is an invitation — to let go, to move, to be present.
Paul is the winner of the Diffuszed Studios DJ Competition, with his mixes broadcast globally via Ibiza Stardust Radio, Club Ready Radio, and Sweet Frequencies Radio. In 2025, he signed his first track with EML Recordings, with the release scheduled for early 2026 — a key step forward in his evolution as both DJ and producer.
Whether behind the decks or in the studio, XP plays with intention — music that moves the body, stirs the heart, and brings people together.

I'm proud to share that my track “Breaking Out” has been officially signed to EML Recordings, a respected independent label known for supporting forward-thinking electronic music across the globe. The track is set for release in early 2026, marking an exciting new chapter in my journey as a producer. EML’s focus on authentic, underground sounds and artist-driven growth makes them the perfect home for this release — and I can't wait to share it with you. 🎪 Lost in Sound Festival – Jungle Fever Edition October 3rd–5th, 2025 • Sunshine Coast Hinterland I’m thrilled to be returning to Lost in Sound – Jungle Fever Edition, happening October 3rd to 5th, 2025, deep in the Sunshine Coast hinterland. This festival is always a special one — built around connection, freedom, and a shared love for proper underground music. This time, I’ll be doing something different. I’m playing a classic trance set, drawing from the golden era of the ‘90s — deep, euphoric, emotional tunes that shaped so many dance floors and still hold their power today. Think rolling basslines, lush pads, and timeless melodies that hit you in the heart. Whether you were there the first time around or discovering these sounds for the first time, this one’s for the heads — and for anyone who knows that feeling when the synths swell and the crowd moves as one. I'll be performing as XP / XPERiMENTAL, and I can’t wait to share this tribute to a legendary era.
